MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A north Miami-Dade man died at the hospital after he was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting.
The man and his son were standing outside their home at 14700 NW 9th Avenue Sunday after when a vehicle with three people inside drove by and shots were fired from inside the vehicle.
The man, described only as being in his 50s, was struck in the chest, according to Miami-Dade polices spokesman Detective Javier Baez. He was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition. He died a short time later.
Police have not given a description of the gunman or said what may have prompted the shooting.
